Meet Dr. John Welk
Dr. John has wide ranging experience in all aspects of orthodontics and has particular interest in the use of digital technology in enhancing treatment options for patients.
Dr. John completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Nebraska where he was a sprinter on the Nebraska Cornhuskers track and field team and majored in Nutrition Science with a minor in Biochemistry. During his time at UNL, Dr. John earned prestigious awards including 2x NCAA Elite 89 Award in 2013 and 2014, Student-Athlete of the Year in 2015, and NCAA Academic All-American of the year in 2015. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery training with highest honors at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, followed by his orthodontic specialty training and master’s degree at the University of Iowa where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. John was born and raised in Bismarck. He enjoys the outdoors, running, working out, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. He is known by his friends and family as someone who loves to fix things, and is always learning something new.
